Whew! So much for a post a week! Our last month has gone by in such a whirlwind. We've been busy getting settled all the way into the house, going off to the cottage, celebrating birthdays, and we even took a 5 day vacation! I am also working to keep my B Jewelled business in order, which is sometimes hard to do with an un-finished workspace. But I am catching up! So now we have a more relaxed week, and I thought this afternoon would be a good time to do a little catch up post with some pictures of the fun we've been having. I'll start with our trip to the cottage. It's always such a treat to get away to a place that is so comfortable for the kids, just enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Not having a lawn yet at the new house, we've definitely spent less time outside than we're used to. Luckily we had a weekend filled with sunshine and warmth! The guys got in a round of golf one morning, while the girls and kids took a leasurely walk and we all spent time down at the water front. I always appreciate God through nature in such a special way when we are at the lake. It is so peaceful and serene, just makes me feel like his arms are wrapped around us in a big hug
We had a funny little visitor in the cottage after our walk! Apparantly I had left the screen door open - oops! We slowly crept back into the cottage, a little wary of any creatures that may have made themselves welcome. It didn't take us long to spot this little bird that had flown into Scott and my bedroom! (The picture is taken from the outside, of the bird trying to escape!) I, being the girlie girl that I am, freaked out! Mom and I were both squealing and laughing as we (ok, I stayed in the doorway) went into the room to help the bird find it's way back out. I was a faithful cheerleader for mom in the doorway as she opened the other window, and gently guided it there with the screen as a barrier! The bird left a little "gift" for me to clean up on the wall before flying out, too. We all had a good laugh after it was all over!

Thanks for the catch up post! That bird story had me laughing...and I probably would've just left it in the house until a guy got home to take care of it. Lol!
You are brave!! That bird story sounded very frightening!!!!!
Great pictures...Love the one of Kalia hanging over the dock with her watering can. I'm so glad you are back to blogging again!
I don't even know what to say about the bird, I'm just laughing...probably not AT you but more with you, I guess I am not a girly girl... :)
It looks like you guys had a great time! FUN!
That's an awesome bird story, but I must say, I am glad it did not happen to me :) Love all the pictures. Your kids are beautiful.
I'm glad you're all having a good laugh over our trauma :P It was pretty funny though. Let me tell you we will be double checking that door from now on!!
