At the Park

Kalia can never get too much outside time as far as she is concerned! You never realize how much you are teaching your child by just going through your daily routine until they do something funny to make to see . . . Early one morning, Kalia and I had just eaten breakfast and were hanging out in our pj's. After a while she brought me her jacket. Now it is normal for her to bring me things to share or just so I will "ooh" and "ah" over it. So I took it with a simple 'thank you Kalia' and put it down again. Well she got all riled up, pointing at the jacket and going "ooh-ooh-ooh!" in her cute little way. She held her arms out, and I slid it on, thinking that was that. But no, that wasn't good enough, the held the front closed and gestured for me to close the buttons, then took my hand, led me to the door, and patiently waited there until I took her outside (yes, in my pajamas!). It's been hard on these last rainy weeks, because there is no way to explain to her that it is pouring and mommy doesn't think we need to go out (never mind the fact that she likes the rain too!). Some days it is very trying on my patience to try to keep her happy inside when all she wants to do is stand by the door or window and pout. On sunny days it's great though because I love the fresh air, too. It helps me not to feel cooped up with my little one.

loving the swings

yikes that bridge is tipsy when no one is holding the rail!!
she HAD to climb up the slide each time before sliding down. hair blowing in the breeze

watching the leaves flutter and dance

Hanging Out at Grandma and Granpa's

"Meeting" Auntie Kaitlyn's horses for the first (and last, for 2 of them) time. She was so pleased with herself that she touched them, and squealed and giggled when they moved!

Do all babies HATE the feel of grass? It totally freaks her out!

Golfing With Daddy

Kalia loved getting out on the greens and making a game out of trying to chase after the ball and grab it before Scott could make his put - it was hilarious! She loves the outdoors even without all this action, so she really got excited to do something so interactive. The next time we were in Golf Town, she was in her glory on the "putting greens" too, snatching up all the balls and dropping them in the holes, and running around with all of the flags. What a silly girl.
