Happy Birthday Princess!

This year has been so full of happiness and blessings while watching my little girl grow and change. I love her more and more every day and it is so fun to see how smart she is and how quickly she learns new things! I love hearing her sing - whenever I sing a song to her, I can just see her watching my lips to memorize every word I say and she only needs to hear a song once or twice before she starts belting it out for herself. It's fun hearing her sing her ABCs (she learned this in January), counting until 10 (sometime late fall), and naming colors and shapes (over the course of winter). It's also fun to hear her express her emotions. She loves telling us when she's "happy", "sad", "excited" or even when she's "mad and ticked!" She is such a little goof and as soon as she knows that she's getting a laugh, she goes into full entertainment mode. It amazed me when she started talking in full sentances - it just seemed to happen overnight, and she speaks most of her words so clearly! This year has also been developing her personality. It is easy to see that she has a very nurturing and considerate side when she takes care of her dolls or if anyone says "ow" or loooks sad she is right over to ask "Are you okay?" and kiss it better. She also loves drama. Often she'll say about one of her dolls "WAA WAA - Jill is crying! She needs a bottle" and gets straight to work to fix the problem. She also has a very stubborn and mischeivous streak which keeps us on our toes. But she also loves to tell on herself if no one has noticed that she has been naughty and comes up to me saying "how did you get that?" (referring to herself) or "Oh no - made a mess!" She always seems to have an opinion about everything and definitely knows her mind. Overall she is quite a happy girl but I can already tell that she is a bit of a perfectionist because she gets easily stressed if she doesn't get something right on the first try. She thinks she is such a little grownup and if she sees someone else do something, anything, that she can do it too! I love you SO much Kalia Rose! You are a bright spot in every day of my life and God has given me so much joy through you. I can't wait to see you grow and change even more this year, and watch you become a big sister too!

Happy Birthday, my little Princess!!

I'm Back . . .

Hi everyone! Although I am not all of the way better yet (and being 9 months pregnant doesn't help!!) I am starting to have the energy to do more and more every day. Even though I dropped out of the blogging world for two months, I've decided not to try and do "catch up" posts, as that just seems too time consuming and overwhelming to me right now. I will try and keep up from now on though especially once there are pictures of the new baby. I have enjoyed my time off from blogging in a way though becuase you never really realize how addicted you were until you can't do it anymore! Anyways, thanks for still checking up from time to time and for your thoughts and prayers. My doctor and I are hoping that once the baby is born I will start healing a lot faster.

Here is me with one of my closest friends Andrea at Kalia's birthday party on Monday. Our due dates were two days apart, but she actually had her baby (a girl - Abigail Star) early and called me first thing this morning with the news! Congratulations Andrea!!

And here's me and newly pregnant Amber, who is my cousin and also a wonderful friend! I am so excited to have a baby the same year as her, as we thought we'd always be off by a year. (She has a three year old and almost one year old girl now)
