Welcome!

Welcome to my private blog! It's actually pretty fun knowing who will all be reading this post and looking at these pictures of my family. Here are a few of us at the Stampede festivities a couple of weekends ago. Kalia just loved the Stampede this year! She's still talking about the Ferris wheel almost every day when we go outside. She enjoyed the rides, the bright lights and of course, the cotton candy! We had a fun time taking her late one evening (as in, leaving home when it was basically bedtime already!), and going to see the parade with Amber and Erik's family. We had to encourage the girls to run out in the street for their candy, but once they got going they had their hats filled in no time! Thankfully it wasn't a super busy day at the farm, so Scott and Erik had time to enjoy the morning with us.Unfortunately, none of us had a long enough arm to take a picture of all four of us on the ferris wheel (yes, Oliver came along too!!)
Kalia was pretty awed by how high up we were
Lickin her lips with her yummy treat!

Oliver needed a little bit of comforting during the loud fire engines!!
Amber with the girls (and maybe a boy in her belly . . . ?)

Two Months Old

Wow, I can't believe Oliver is two months old already!! The time has really flown by. He is such a good boy and a joy to have in our lives. He is so friendly and just waiting for someone to come and make him smile at any given time. I love that little guy to bits!!

To Be or Not to Be . . .

I am considering going private with my blog. For some reason this is a very hard decision for me that I have thought about for a long time! On one hand, I don't want to exclude people because I have family members and friends that have specifically thanked me for not going private because they can quickly check the blog without logging in or worrying about their invitation expiring! On the other hand, I really like the idea of knowing who is all reading my blog and having some control over the fact that only a group of people that I consider safe will be looking at pictures of my children and reading about our lives. I also realize that my blog can be a witness to people who happen accross it, but is that worth it for the risk? I would love to hear some feedback from both those of who who have gone private and those who haven't. Even if you don't have a blog yourself but have an opinion as a reader, let me know how you feel about the issue and why so I can have some help making my decision!

At the Lake

We've been fortunate enough to spend some time at the lake already this year in between baling. It's been nice weather most of the time, though true to Manitoba weather we have had some cold and windy days as well. Here are a bunch of pictures that I've taken.

Visiting at the Farm

One great thing about Scott working on the farm now is that we get to go and spend time with him there! Kalia loves all of the action, and Oliver even had his first semi ride. Scott seems proud to show Kalia what he does at work every day and it's a fun way for us to spend time as a family.

One Month Old

Oliver got this tractor as a special present from my Grandpa, along with a little "Oliver" tractor as well! I decided to take a picture with him and the tractor each month to show how he is growing.

Kalia is such a goof. She thought it was SO funny that she stuck her feet in front of the camera.
