I was reluctant to cut my little girls beautiful tresses, especially because it curls at the ends, but I finially got sick of how tangled it was getting in the back. Plus, it was two different lengths - the short and straight real hair, and the longer, curly baby fuzz. So last Wednesday I gave in and trimmed the back of her hair. Unwilling to sacrifice the nice curly flips by her ears, I angled it so it was longer in front. She was quite figdety, which forced me to try out a bunch of creative cutting postitions, but thankfully I had a pair of those scissors with round tips so they aren't sharp and dangerous. It was an interesting experience at least!

Hey Brandi! Good work on Kalia's hair! And she still has her curls! Yay! I guess I'd probably say this was her first haircut, but it totally depends on what you define "haircut" being...it definitely was her first trim. Too bad we couldn't get together today. I was really looking forward to it! :)
Well, since it made a difference & if you have enough hair to put a little lock into her baby book, I would say yes, this is her first haircut....there was hair & cutting involved...hehehe
A. Liz said I agree a cut is a cut!
AWW, so cute! What a bitter sweet moment. I remember NOT wanting to cut Jacob's hair. The first time I did count it. Though I have to admit that because the first time so little was cut, the lock of hair I have in his baby book was from after a few cuts because I was able to get a thicker larger lock to put a ribbon around.
Also,
I wanted to tell you I am having some photo fun at my site. It is called Baby Days. I am making buttons for all who participates. All you need to do is send a picture of Kalia(under 1 yr) to
shanilie@hotmail.com
Hope you can participate!
that sure does count as a first hair cut!! you are very brave!! as you can tell by Kamryn's mullett - i havn't been that brave yet!! :) :)
Yup, that's a haircut! :D So cute!
I guess if you cut some hair it would be a hair cut. Be glad your little girl has hair. I'm afraid I will have a bald kid since Trev and I were both bald.
I like the picture on an earlier post of her in pig tails...cute.
