Scott and I had celebrated Valentine's Day early yesterday with a fun night out together! When Scott got home from work he suprised me and told me that he had lined up my dad to watch Kalia while we went out for supper and to a Moose game! We had a really good time and my favorite part of hockey (fighting) happened twice in the first 7 minutes! It was great having a date night because we really don't go out that often without Kalia, and although she's tons of fun too, sometimes we like to hang out just the two of us. They had extra "smooch-cams" at the game seeing as it was the day before V-day (and the "prize" was a bouquet of flowers) but we didn't make it onto any. One of Scott's ex hockey teammates did though and they even won, so that was kind of fun to see. I love both of my valentines! Kalia has been saying "Valetimes - I love you!!" for the last couple of days and it is so sweet. Plus to my other Valentine, I love you for being such a hard worker and for bringing so much fun into my life. Thanks for the suprise date - you're the best!
Here is Kalia all dressed in pink and red for Valentine's day today. This is her goofy look that she gives me when I ask her to smile for the camera. Auntie Jenna came over today to play with her while I taught some make-up piano lessons and then stayed for lunch so we had a fun day "celebrating" today too.

Aw, that sounded like a wonderful date night! I hear ya on the 'don't get out without your daughter' business - Annika tags along on our "date nights" all the time! But tomorrow we got a sitter! YAY! Kalia is looking like a preschooler - its amazing how they change so often. She must be getting veerrrry excited for her new bro or sis! :)Happy Valentine's Day!
So glad you had a date night. Hope you can have a few more before baby comes.
